I want to learn to play the piano. I have an old piano, I can’t afford a private piano teacher so I want to find some good online piano lessons for free. Do they exist and is it possible to teach yourself piano online.

Yes there are lots of sites that offer free piano and keyboard lessons but you get what you pay for, and in your case you are paying nothing. Most of the free courses available are introductory courses to get you started.

If you want to learn to play the piano properly you are going to have to buy an online piano course. Think about it, do you really think that a fully qualified piano teacher is going to teach anyone for free after years of study themselves. Well it’s the same on the internet, nobody is going to put a comprehensive piano software package together with lessons, videos and audio and then give it away for nothing.
